Happy Solstice

‘Twas the Night of the Solstice (12:31 AM, ET)

‘Twas the Night of the Solstice, and up on The Mount (See “Olympus”)
All the planets were waiting for Sun to dismount. (See “leave Sagg”) 
His pin-stripes were ironed by Mars with great care, (See “Virgo”)
No more wrinkles for Sun, not once he got there! (See “Capricorn”)

Well, most of the planets were in Saturn’s office,
(They were there for a party, but it felt like a caucus.) 
See, that striped suit was Saturn’s, so he had to be sure
That Sun wasn’t stumbling through Sagg anymore.

All that dripping and spilling, all that falling down, 
And jumping in puddles, like some type of clown. (see “Sagg” again)
It makes Saturn nervous, he just doesn’t get it. 
(And besides, he had charged those pin-stripes to his credit!)

Well, the gang wanted food, and were tired of his worry
And were just gettng ready to leave (in a hurry)
When suddenly, Moon said “Let’s have a big feast!”
And she led them all into the kitchen, toute suite!

Then she pulled on her apron (her very best black), (See “Scorpio”)
And went into the pantry to fetch them a snack,
When out in the hall there arose such a clatter,
They ran out of there to see what was the matter.

Saturn followed, and muttered, “It just can’t be Sun!
He’s in Capricorn now, there’s no more time for fun!”
Well, Venus just laughed when she saw who was there.
(Even though they were technically no longer square.)

It was Jupiter, smack in the midst of his station.
(Who’d obviously had ‘way too much celebration.)
Well, they pulled and they pushed, and they tried to revive him,
And they even called Chiron, who said “He’ll survive. Him?

He’s always excessive, he falls down on the floor 
At least once a cycle, what’s just one time more?” 
But Jupiter stirred, then. He woke up, and he grinned,
And said “Whash all the fush?” Had some fun! Ain’t no sin!” <hic!>

Then he grabbed up his napsack, and fumbled inside,
And he pulled out a couple of Moon’s home-baked pies!
But before Mars could cut them, Merc straightened up tall 
And said “Listen! Sun’s coming! He’s out in the hall!”

Well, they turned out the lights and they stood by the door.
And they all waited there. Saturn pacing the floor,
Neptune patting his back, saying “It’ll be fine,”
(Making everyone wish that they, too, were in trine!)

Then the doorknob, it turned, and Sun just stood there,
First he blinked, then he gasped, then he said, “Don’t you dare!’
But Uranus jumped out from behind a big chair,
Yelling “Hey, Sun, remember? Surprise! We’re in square!”

Well, Saturn was startled, he just hadn’t noticed
That the angles were cardinal, and this square was focused
Right on them, in fact, right at 0 degrees, 
And the shock of it all made him weak in the knees!

But it didn’t explain why the Sun looked so rumpled
And what Saturn saw next made him *truly* disgruntled.
See, those pinstripes were tarnished with ashes and soot
And right on Sun’s back was a print, like a foot!

Then Jupiter chuckled, and he winked up at Sun.
“Oh, so what? It’ll wash, and we sure had some fun!”
And then it hit Saturn, that those two were aligned!
And the worst of it all? They were even in trine!

(See, a Jupiter aspect of any old sort
Can tempt even a serious guy to cavort.)
And trines are much harder to resist or ignore.
But Sun cast his eyes down, ashamed, toward the floor.

He promised old Saturn he’d dry-clean that suit,
Or he’d go out and buy him a new substitute.
See, Sun felt just awful for letting him down.
(And besides, even gods don’t like Saturn to frown!)

Well, Saturn forgave him, for some unknown reason.
(It was maybe the sextile, more likely the season.)
And they all went inside, and they did eat those pies,
But somebody else had planned one last surprise…

And a few hours later, as the party wound down,
(After Venus had modeled her new glo-lite gown), (See “Aquarius”)
Sun went to the door that said “Downstairs! Keep Out!”
And he opened it up, and then Pluto came out!

He, too, was in pin-stripes, and he seemed to be merry,
(Which, given his reputation, was quite scary.)
(See, Pluto is known for his fondness of night 
And they were, after all, celebrating the light.)

He said, “I know, I’m late, but I’m still not quite single” (see “Spring”)
Persephone’s here, and she hates when I mingle.”
So I sent her Upstairs, overnight, to her Mum
And I’m sorry I said that I just couldn’t come.”

“Well, now that you’re here,” Venus said, with a smile,
“Put your feet up, relax, and hang out for a while!
We’re about to call Whatzername up there, online (See “Me”)
And give her a message that she’ll like just fine.”

Well, they called and they said, “On this ‘way special day,
We want to share something, So here’s what to say…”
And they sent out this blessing to all Mortals Mere:
“Happy Solstice to all, Have a wonderful year!”

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

Full Moon’s shower the light on what has been hidden.  When we deceive ourselves to a great extent, a Full Moon can show that we were wrong in so many ways so that the Full Moon should be looked upon as a blessing.  This is true no matter how much that Full Moon disrupts your life.  The Full Moon on December 10th is especially powerful because of the Lunar eclipse.  The Sun in Sagittarius will be at 19 degrees and the Moon in Gemini will be at 19 degrees.  If you have planets that will be aspected by the Full Moon, especially if they’re on the angles, the stress level can be quite intense.  If the energy gets too intense, go outside and take a long walk.  If you’re the type who likes to exercise, get busy.  But do not increase the activity, we want to avoid any injuries.  

The other aspect that’s happening at the same time as the Full Moon is – Uranus turns to direct motion.  YIKES!!!!  Where that hits, no one can tell.  If you know your chart and you know where Aries is in your chart, you can get a smidgen of an idea of where Uranus will do it’s work – where Uranus will free you from bonds that you no longer need, whether you know it or not.

The upside of all this, yes, there is an upside, Mercury turns to direct motion on 13 December.  Once  the immediate effects of the Full Moon have waned, those of us who have been manic will be able to calm down and prepare for the Christmas holiday is a relatively calm manner.  Remember, I said ‘relatively calm manner.

Some things are for sure:  Sagittarians will be more wise, even as they put their feet in their mouths, Gemini’s will be more restless than ever, Pisces will be reading people without knowing it and scaring them, Virgo, hopefully, will stop cleaning and expecting people to behave to their high standards – even though Virgos couldn’t achieve half of what they expect of others.  The theme is that the mutables will be at the forefront.  The Cardinal and the Fixed signs?  It depends on where the Full Moon and Uranus aspect other planets.

The real answer is that no one is safe … everyone will be a little goofy this weekend.  Try not to take anything too seriously, unless it is serious.

Mercury Retrograde

Don’t be surprised, especially if you purchase gifts during the Mercury retrograde, that they are either exchanged or returned.  Try not to be upset about this.

The New Moon in Sagittarius was fun even with the Mercury retrograde, which was easy to ignore.  It’s best, though, not to ignore it too much or a lot of cleaning up after the retrograde is over will be fruitless.  Once the words go out there, there out there and come back to haunt.

Venus is now in Capricorn, squaring Uranus and Pluto.  Little Lady Venus does not like to be in Capricorn because of the seriousness of Capricorn and the call to duty and work.  Venus says ‘Yuck!’ to that.  But there’s also the square to Saturn that throws the sand on Venus’ desires and says, ‘get to work.’  Venus will make it through OK but the seriousness of Capricorn will not be making many happy revelers for this holiday season … but, remember, inside every planet that’s in staid and stogy Capricorn, is a child screaming to be let out and wants to join the party.  If you’re planning parties, go for it.  Seriousness needs to be put on the back burner sometimes.

The Week Ahead

PISCES

Wanting to see your world in your rear-view mirror, you’ve learned that yes, ‘things’ are going to happen and ‘things’ are going to change.  You’ve learned, too, that all that will be happening soon.  What you’ve forgotten to remember, accidentally on purpose, is that ‘soon’ can mean God’s ‘soon’, which can be either a blink of an eye or an eternity.  In an odd way, this gives you a sense of security.  You’ve examined your belief systems and most have stood the test of time.  This Full Moon in Scorpio solidifies it all.   

 AQUARIUS

For those Aquarians who have a career goal and are focused on it, the career thing could drive you stark, raving mad right now if you let it. It’s not happening as fast as you would like it to.  Try to remember that you had other things to do before you could follow this new and different path so it just ‘seems’ to be taking longer than it should.  You have got the drive to succeed which shows in other areas of your life. Just remember that; you do know where you are going and it’s not too late.  Realize that your interests are so widespread that you could  become scattered and, tada … Full Moon in Scorpio shining light on the problem, that’s because of the boredom that can set in while waiting for what you really want to gel and take off. When you find your interests wandering, shake them off and get back to aiming for your most desired goal.

 CAPRICORN

Being somewhat of a loner, you are trying to decide if you should join a group of some kind.  Seriously??  If you can’t lead the group, then why join?  A multitude of planets will soon be in Taurus then you can put your attention back on money and get off the disruptive family issues that have kept you up at night. With Pluto still in your sign for years to come, you won’t get your mind off yourself anyway and how you’re going to make it on your own.  You do have friends, you know, as the Full Moon in Scorpio will reveal, especially if you let that little kid inside you out. 

 SAGITTARIUS

You need to get your body into a project and get your hands dirty. As you do this, you’ll feel the change in your thinking; there is a dimension shift involved that will have the effect of sculpting your thoughts and ideas.  In the middle of doing this work, the answer will come to you as to how to proceed to the next step.

 SCORPIO

This is a week that culminates all the plans, hopes, wishes, passions, talents, tensions and control battles you’ve been dealing with for weeks.  Of course, communication can straighten it all out. Silence usually means war.  To avoid war, do something completely different – listen!  Don’t say a word, just listen.  Even if you don’t like what’s being said – listen!  When the talking is finished, go off by yourself to absorb what you’ve heard. 

 LIBRA

Whoever does the driving controls the relationship. Whoever does the driving controls the money flow of the relationship. Whoever does the driving controls the controls the inner life of the relationship. If both parties drive at different times, there is balance in a relationship.  Then the power is distributed through both partners. There are caution signs all over the road if one person has all the power.

 VIRGO

You’re a stable, sensible, rational, practically minded person. You were born with a good head on your shoulders and know how to sell your services and handle your business.  Until, that is, the Full Moon in Scorpio, when the real Virgo comes out.  Then there are dust bunnies under the bed, empty ice cream containers in the closet and you’re searching the cushions on the couch for money for wine.  We won’t even talk about the zits you have from too much chocolate consumption.  Was that a belch I heard from pristine Virgo?  You’re secret is out in the open and we know who you really are … a Leo in disguise.

 LEO

The square to your Sun from the Full Moon in Scorpio can throw light on those questions you have about your family that you know someone has the answer to.  This is a way for you to learn that some questions should not be answered. You have your own fully conscious ways of discerning right and wrong. And your notion of who you are is defined not by what anyone has told you but rather by your own impressively restless, staunchly independent quest for truth. Just remember when you run up toMountOlympusand get some of that fire, you’re not stealing — you’re taking it back.

 CANCER

You’re torn in so many directions these days, that it’s a blessing you’ve got people around you to keep you from blowing a blood vessel. Faith, too, helps.  The Scorpio Full Moon will heighten your sensitivity whether you want it heightened or not.  You will get feelings about people that might have you look puzzled at them because what’s being said and what you feel are complete opposites.  You call on one or two of them and are, unfortunately, sharply criticized.  You back off.  Trust your feelings.  If you’re criticized too sharply, know that person doesn’t want to be found out.  And, unfortunately, you’ll find out who your friends are.

 GEMINI

When your projects or dreams are tied to what other people require of you, you do well for a while but then, because it’s not what’s in your heart, it all falls apart.  You have to do what you desire to do, what is in your heart.  Yes, you’re a Gemini and would like to do everything all at once.  It doesn’t work that way.  Pick 1 or 2 or 3 things you’d like to do and get started on those.  When you get bored with those, try the next three things.  One morning you will wake up and find that you are doing your hearts desire and that you are successful at it.

 TAURUS

As screwed up as you have been lately, maybe it’s time you finally stop running and turn around and face…what you’ve been avoiding facing? The trine from Pluto is calling your behavior to account and demanding a complete ethical transformation of your whole life.  Is it just a setup?  Are people really conspiring to mess your whole scene up when you are such a nice person? It’s only when you’re doing something completely wrong that it seems the whole world is against you.  Is there something to learn from all this?  You betcha! It has everything to do with security and nothing to do with money.

 ARIES

You may find yourself obsessed with trying to figure yourself out, and to evaluate whether you’re acting in an ethical way. This is the time to mix having with giving, rather than to mix having with withholding or demanding. You are not at the mercy of your personality or your conditioning. You are only at the mercy of your awareness. With so much activity in your world, pausing to reflect deeply may not be something that occurs to you naturally; this is your reminder. There’s no doubt that when people get together and form strong bonds and partnerships, and pool their resources, their fortunes grow and they prosper. That is not to say that undercurrents still don’t exist.

The Week Ahead

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

If there’s something you know is important to you, that your soul is calling out to create, make a space for it. Normal routine can be upset by the nebulous energy influence.  Want to escape?  Do so in your imagination only.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19)

As restless as you are, the emphasis is now on grounding yourself in a meaningful way. Things seem to be happening around you that contribute to your restlessness. You need a solid base of operations. Try to avoid others as much as possible.  Now, we do know that this is impossible so imagine a bubble of light around yourself that unpleasant energy cannot penetrate.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20)

You need a new way to express yourself. The force of progress is a lot greater than anything that could hold you down. Just remember to keep your energy moving, and moving fast.  While the energy around you is disruptive for a few days, that energy dissipates and your life is organized once again.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22)

You could be feeling twitchy.  A loved one comes to you with an original and ingenious idea.  Got for it!  There are people in your life that you don’t need to like someone to find something about them that enriches your perception.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)

A new day is dawning in a relationship. If you choose to get involved with someone make sure that you bring your diversity with you. You’re under no obligation to be less of a person so that someone else doesn’t feel threatened. This simply doesn’t work. Finances can improve.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23)

There is a strong pull to bond with someone in a way that may have been more appropriate for our parents’ generation. Yet you are at a kind of a crossroads where you can look honestly at your predecessors and their relationship style. You have options, and now is the time to keep them open.  Like Scorpio, ask yourself why you are trying to put the square peg of who you are into the round hole of someone else’s neediness and, therefore, are denying who you really are.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)

Put down a solid foundation now, in terms of a clear declaration to yourself, as well as some concrete action or investment, and you are likely to see an excellent return on that commitment during the next few months. Contact with people in faraway places will restore balance and perspective to your life, even if you can’t hop a private jet and see theAndes. Although – even public transportation could be a good idea if it will get you out of town.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23)

You seem to have made it into adulthood as some one who has direct access to your cosmic source. Your notion of who you are is defined not by what anyone has told you but rather by your own impressively independent quest for truth.  You didn’t design the game but you have mastered it with your brilliant panache and style. The game is getting boring and you’re getting restless.  Take a vacation, chill out and let your imagination dream up your own game so you can play by your own rules.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Let everything you say and do have the same basic message. If you get distracted or caught in externals, go back to the roots of what you’re doing and express yourself from there.  By stepping back and observing, you’re in a good position to quietly further your goals.  Make a review of the past to see what worked and what didn’t, then revise your plan to a sleek and efficient way of achieving your goals.

Gemini (May 20-June 21)

You have no control over how people perceive you, no matter how careful you are about guarding your reputation. Restlessness, the keyword for all Air signs this week.  Impatience, too.  The way you handle your finances just might be hitting a brick wall.  The hard thing for you to remember is that you’re not as rich as the way you spend money makes you seem to be.  This is a harsh realization, especially when it comes to a romantic relationship that can become a whole lot more.  When the reality of your finances hit your would-be partner, don’t be surprised if you hear ‘Good by!’  Some lessons are harder than others.

Taurus (April 19-May 20)

Communication.  Ahhhhh. Not your strong point?…hhmmmm.  I don’t know about you but I have a difficult time understanding that description of Taurus.  I’ve known many Taursus’ and have never met one who didn’t talk like a magpie on speed.  The wonderful thing for Taurus is that many of them are having their dreams come true.  Some don’t know what to think about it and others are thinking ‘bring it on.’  The caution is, however, be very careful of what you ask for because you will get it.

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Be careful about being right. You are not at the mercy of your personality or your conditioning. You are only at the mercy of your awareness. How can everything that seems so right, at the same time, seems so wrong?  Is it some cruel fate that allows you to be optimistic and pessimistic at the same time?  Everything is on the table for you to choose.  Can you have everything at one time?  Well, you can try to take as much as you want and you head won’t explode, dear Aries.  The sobering up for you will start in July 2011.

New Moon in Aquarius, Venus/Pluto Conjunction

We just had a New Moon in Aquarius that Mars conjuncted, the Sun and Moon at 13 degrees of Aquarius and Mars at 14 Aquarius.  What this can do is spur those who have planets (or house cusps) in their charts at or near those degrees to great action.  Action that will continue for, at the very least, another week or more.

While many will say that this New Moon in Aquarius will enhance the aloofness of the sign, I feel that the aloofness is needed for the person to take a step back to be assured that he/she is heading in the direction he/she wants to go.  Aquarians need this because, especially for those who are late degrees Aquarians or have planets in Aquarius at late degrees and any other late degree planet in a chart, can be ‘snowed’ by Neptune in the late degrees of Aquarius.  If one is thinking of becoming a religious person or to sit on a mountain-top in Tibet, Neptune is Aquarius works well.  But the danger for those not heading to that mountain-top is deception.  Not only deception by others but self-deception.  For these people, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is not true at all and the revelation of the untruth will not come for anther year or so.

Venus is transiting to Capricorn which will conjunct Pluto and square Jupiter.  Control issues will abound and with that square to Jupiter could even escalate to war-like conditions.  Venus, for all her beauty, like the snow can be deadly just like the snow.  Combine Venus with Pluto and you have an extremely unpleasant energy with deadly Venus using sex as a hook.

Try to remember to listen to your little voice, it will never let you down.

Now, to sleigh through the signs:

PISCES

Even though you abound with self-confidence, be aware that can change in an instant.  Try to catch that instant to change it back into self-confidence.  Telling you to try not to be paranoid, would be like telling you not to breathe.  But, do lighten up on the paranoia.  With Chiron now in Pisces, help comes from surprising places.

AQUARIUS

Lighten up a little.  Yes.  Serious things are happening.  If you take a lighter attitude, that will change the dynamic of the situation.  There is something that you want and there have been drawbacks to attaining it.  Look at the drawbacks as lessons learned and not to be repeated. Since success is at your fingertips, be alert for a deception that might delay you.

CAPRICORN

You will be successful once you define what success means to you.  It’s beyond the position in the community, position in career and money.  The Capricorn symbol of the goat climbing the mountain is not for material success but for spiritual success.  Capricorn is on the Mid-Heaven in the Astrological chart.  The Mid-Heaven is the closest one can get to God.

SAGITTARIUS

You have been through the fire of transformation and have survived.  Now it’s time to do what you want to do, what you need to do.  It’s time for you to answer your call.  Jupiter is trining your Sun and if you avoid that, what you think is, God like behavior, you can have a good time.

SCORPIO

We know you can teach Leo a thing or two about friendship and loyalty.  You are such a good friend that it takes, literally, years for you to finally break off a friendship that is harmful to you.  This will get a little easier in the next few months where you’ll have a window of opportunity to end relationships that can destroy you.  This will happen to the point where you will no longer fall for guilt trips some people would put you on.

LIBRA

Lots of one step forward, three steps backward happening to you since Saturn transited to Libra.  Saturn is now retrograde for a few months so take this time to push forward towards what it is you would like to accomplish.  Be aware, though, of the square to your Sun from Venus and Pluto…it would be prudent to let some of those desired objects go.

VIRGO

You’ve been housebound just a little too much.  If you have nothing planned, get yourself out to a mall, at least.  Take a long, slow walk around it and be aware that you are part of the living.  Know, too, that it’s OK to have an opinion that is not in line with your family and/or friends.  It’s what makes you unique and spurs real conversation.

LEO

A bored Leo is a dangerous Leo.  Instead of being disappointed in other’s inability to engage you in fun and interesting activities, do it yourself.  Don’t have a hissy fit.  Figure out what it is that you would like to do and do it.  You really don’t your familiar friends or family to do this.  You just might meet a whole bunch of new people who are more stimulating that the ones you now know.

CANCER

You have itchy feet and are longing to travel but, unfortunately, it’s not feasible at this time.  Get your atlas out and plot your next trip then call your travel agent to book it right away.  You need to do this because you are finally going to take your dream trip and we do not want you to back off from those plans.  You need to take this trip no matter what’s going on around you.

GEMINI

You can have high ideals no matter what anyone says.  Yes.  You change your mind a lot and your ideals but that doesn’t mean you don’t have high ideals.  You are going to be asked, though, to put your money where your mouth is.  You will be able to do this and in the doing, blow people away and reinforce their admiration of you.

TAURUS

You have a very nice trine to Pluto, which is slowly but surely (like you like it) causing many changes in your life.  This month, though since you would like to keep what you have gained, take extra care at feelings of jealousy and possessiveness that will arise from the square to Venus.  Remember to breathe.

ARIES

Remember that Jupiter in Aries, even though it can symbolize excess, does not permit you to excess.  Excess is a problem.  Just look at some of the famous Aries and what happened to them as they aged … excess got to them and most of them became obese.  Be alert.  Yes!  Everything tastes good but that doesn’t mean it’s good for you.  It’s better to get out there and push for your greatest ideal.  Once Uranus transits to Aries in mid-March, you’ll be glad to have the ability to move quickly and to turn sharp corners in a flash!

 

New Moon, Solar Eclipse, In Capricorn

Early this morning we had the New Moon in Capricorn at about 14 degrees.  If you have any planets or house cusps at 14 degrees, or 5 degrees before or after, you, most likely, will be effected.

A New Moon is a good time to begin a particular project or set your intentions of what you would like to accomplish in the next 30 days.

The last Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse combined with this New Moon, Solar Eclipse, this combination can bring endings.   The New Moon squaring Saturn in Libra portends endings in relationships.  For you romatics who only think of relationships that are romantic, this can mean endings in ANY kind of relationship:  parental, business, creative, collaborative and/or long-term friendships.

If you take a good look at the relationship that is ending, you will find that the business relationship no longer works well, the creative relationship had lost creativity, and the friendship that has ended has run its course no matter how long the friendship way.

With Venus trining Uranus and then Jupiter, there is a forward looking, with excitement, attitude that might soften the endings. 

That Venus trine, too, is helpful in doing what you love to do.

PISCES

Here we go again.  Make a list of what you would like to accomplish.  Yeah, the same old stuff.  But this time do NOT type it on your computer,  write in your goals in your own hand writing.  There’s something about this exercise that, if you do it often enough, goes from the hand, to the brain, to the psyche and creates what you write.  The caveat is, as always, make sure you really want what you write because you will get it.

BTW, don’t write your goals once, write them once a day, every day.  Hey!  You gotta work for what you want in some way.

AQUARIUS

The word for this month is Teamwork. If you are the leader of a team, this month the team is a little unruly.  You’re going to feel that herding cats is a lot easier than herding humans. You have a definite goal and are eager to get to that goal.  Some say ‘you deal with the hand you’re dealt.’  But throw in that hand and ask for another deal.  If you want to get to the top, it takes survival of the fittest, You need to do the not so nice things, the things Mother wouldn’t approve of – you need to know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em.  In other words, you need the killer instinct.  Do not allow anyone to put try to put you on a guilt trip.

BTW, re-engineering your team will cost you less in the long run.

CAPRICORN

You are becoming friendlier.  There’s less doom and gloom about you and more hopefulness that there’s been in a very long time.  People are beginning to see the playful glint of that little boy or girl in your eyes.  It’s very attractive.  Try not to ponder where all the attention is coming from.  Enjoy it.  This will also bring you to your sensibilities in realizing that you are a leader, a natural leader.  As the energy around you lightens, the ability to lead comes forward.  And the way you will lead is as natural as having a conversation and making suggestions.  The suggestions are carried out and do well.  The more you do this, the more you will lead.

SAGITTARIUS

The New Year started off with the Moon in Sagittarius, making it more festive and enjoyable.  Now, the seriousness of the New Year begins.  Yes, I know, the year has hardly started and it seems unfair.  Your decisions only seem serious because of the planet transits but soon – before the end of January – Jupiter will be in Aries trining your Sun and bring an abundance of ideas that are creative genius.  You might seem to be heading in one direction.  Once you come to the cross-road of Uranus in Aries, that direction will, happily, change.

SCORPIO

So much going on.  Which way is up?  Yes.  Some of it is exciting and you have looked forward to being busy this holiday season.  Now, though, it’s getting to be that so much happening and so many demands being made on you by so many people is getting, who would believe it?  Boring.  Sometimes so many things going on can be so overwhelming that you just want to stop, right here, right now.  So, dear Scorpio, take a break.  The world won’t end.  Family and friends will be just fine.  You need to spend some time alone, in peace and quiet to restore you psyche.  Please, eat a decent meal.

 

LIBRA

Saturn is in your sign and has been a drag on your enjoyment.  Making you slow down has it’s benefits for the rest of the New Year will have you busier than you think you will be.  We have all the planets in direct motion now and for a little while which will do a lot to raise your mood and willingness to engage in pleasurable activities.  Family matters are always in the forefront of your mind.  Your desire to have your family happy and content will be a constant dilemma.  Which family do you appease?  Your family of origin or the one you have now?  It’s not a matter of which is more important.  Or is it?  You decide.

 

VIRGO

Once you decide on which area to undertake creatively, try not to seek outside validation.  You need to satisfy your soul.  When you seek outside validation, to put it simply, you invalidate yourself.  You really don’t need to explain or justify why you’re doing what you choose to do.  You will be surprised at the support you get once you have completed your desired work.  Also, don’t be concerned on how to market yourself, your created work.  It appears that it markets itself.

LEO

While you enjoy having an audience and nothing makes your light shine brighter than eager faces looking to you to bestow your gifts on them, what you hide is the down side of your life.  No one would believe that your sunny side is the public you and that you are not that way all of the time.  You have been trying to decide not what, but when to let go of the things you no longer want in your life.  You already know what and that’s what’s been bringing you down lately.  You need to move on no matter what people will say.

CANCER

Work issues have been too serious lately and that has put a damper on just about everything.  It’s a hard concept to use but you do know the more you fret about something, the more you bring it into your life.  Try to stop worrying about work.  Which is harder to do when there are many reasons to worry.  Try to remember that if we lose a job it’s usually under a Jupiter aspect which is kicking you onto a new job, career or situation, that you would be reluctant to do on your own.

GEMINI

You really do not know everything, you know.  It’s your ruler, Mercury the Trickster, that is tricking you into thinking that you do know everything.  If you believe that and act on that, you will be making some woeful decisions.  Once you recognize what you don’t know, humble yourself enough to ask a question.  Even asking what might be the wrong question will eventually lead you in the right direction.  You’re seeking more freedom but at what expense.  It’s time for you to seek the counsel of someone wiser – and, yes, there are people wiser than you out there.

 

TAURUS

It’s time to take some of that wonderful, dry sense of humor you have and apply it to your own life.  You have sort of lost it the last few years and it’s time to get it back.  You need that sense of humor for your own creative genius, so that you can focus on your desires on a deeper level to that they can come into fruition.  You’re moving away from trying to guess other people’s intentions, from guilt of the choices you’ve made and your moving away from being concerned about the risks you want to take.

ARIES

Astrologers have been telling you to just wait, your exciting time is coming.  Being action oriented and wanting everything now, you’re having a hard time biding your time.  You haven’t been sitting around and doing nothing.  But nothing seems to work quite well.  Look at this time as practice and practice makes perfect so that by April when Uranus moves into your sign, you will be ready to make the changes.  One thing you might want to do now is tell people of the changes you want to do, not so that they’ll judge them.  No.  Plus you don’t really care what they think about your plans.  By telling people now of your plans, they won’t be as shocked when you start working your plan.  Oh, they’ll be shocked, all right, but not as badly if you didn’t tell them.

 

Moon in Capricorn

The Moon has transited to Capricorn and will be there for the next 2 days.

Mercury and Mars are still transiting in Sagittarius.

While the Moon adds a more serious tone to the days that she’s in Capricorn,

Mercury and Mars are doing their best to keep the air light and fun.

This will be a lot easier for them once the Sun transits to Sagittarius.

For now they will have to contend with the watery Scorpio Sun attempting, strenously, to put the Sagittarian fire out.

Chiron is running with Neptune both at the end degrees of Aquarius.  It’s as if they’re having a conversation on how to heal Humanity.  They are both in agreement and have some unorthodox ways of healing that Humanity might not accept.

As this is going on, Humanity is feeling like a yoyo.

Well, maybe not all of Humanity.  Just most of us.

Mercury in Sagittarius

Mercury is now transiting in Jupiter-Ruled Sagittarius, the sign and planet of Big Talk, never use a slight exaggeration when you can use a grand exaggeration.  Also, Jupiter-Ruled Sagittarius is ‘don’t sweat the small stuff.’   Which can lead to disaster because, as we know, God is in the details.

This can be a time for great orations with colorful language promising all your dreams to come true.

But … Sagittarius’ malady is ‘foot in mouth’ disease.  Speaking the blunt truth without any guile or checks on the way it’s spoken.

The Moon in Sagittarius has brought a cheerful lilt to the next few days.

Venus has retrograded back to Libra and we, once again, become relationship conscious.

Patience is the keyword for a while.  We have many changes going on with Jupiter and Uranus at the tail-end of Pisces and Neptune and Chiron at the tail-end of Aquarius.  These four planet energies put stress on our foundation.

You with fixed planets are having a heck of a time with all the change going on.  The thing to remember is that all of life is change.  Some change is easy and some change is hard.  But change we will.
